This course covers basic principles in dealing with pharmacological agents. It will include drug classification, properties, usage administration and side effects. This course will improve the students' role and increase the students experience and efficiency while dealing with clients, drug therapy and medical points. It focuses on nursing imputation for drug therapy, safety precautions for preparation and storage of medications, mechanism of action, mathematical nursing problems, commonly used abbreviations. This course describes the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the biological actions, mechanisms, uses, side effects, toxicity, interactions, and adverse reaction of drugs acting on cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and renal systems.
